Media blasting is a way to clean or prepare a surface by shooting tiny particles (aluminum oxide, soda, glass bead, coal slag) at it using high pressure air. It's perfect for removing rust, old paint, dirt, or corrosion and leaves behind a fresh bare surface ready for your choice of coating. It works on metal, wood, fiberglass, and other materials, making it the go-to-step for vehicle restoration or projects where you want a clean, fresh start.  

Not everyone knows the benefits of media blasting because it's a process that usually happens behind the scenes. Most people just see the finished product - a freshly painted accessory, the smooth finish on a bracket, a restored piece of furniture - without ever realizing the prep work that went into it. Media blasting isn't something the average person does at home, so it can seem technical or specialized, and let's not forget...messy!
